JCR Fee FAQs
What is it for?
JCR membership fees go towards the upkeep of our social areas and also fund amenities such as our Sky TV subscription, daily newspapers, weekly social events, hall sports teams/equipment and snooker table (no cost to play). The fee is also used to organise our events such as Freshers' Week, The Snow Ball & The Summer Informal and members can expect a heavily subsidised ticket price to these events (sometimes these events are free!) Members are welcome to use all of our facilities during the alloted opening times. The annual budget is usually presented at the first General Meeting of the Membership for discussion before formally adopted.
How Much?
The fee applicable to you depends on the type of residency agreement (the length of your stay) you have with the Hall. There is a discount for prompt payment. The below matrix outlines our fee structure, correct as of 23/10/09:
| If Paid Before | End week 6 (13/11/09) | End Week 10 (11/12/09) | 2nd Term / Battled |
|---|---|---|---|
| 30+ Weeks | £40 | £45 | £50 |
| 20-28 Weeks | £26 | £30 | £35 |
| 10-14 weeks | £13 | £15 | £20 |
